Took a trip out Monday morning with 4 in the boat over to Canada...tried a few spots in the center of the lake. We would get a few things going and then the action would die off. Ended up with 49 nice 9", started fishing about 745am, ended at 1230. Alot of spots on both sides of stained and then clear areas of water. Hoping to get back out this weekend, maybe Thursday too...then pull the boat next tuesday :(
P.S. Three people had "muskies" on there lines...boy those pounding anchors sure put up a good fight

Ah, the prized mudder Muskie. :p I still haven’t seen anyone surface one with a rod and reel! Good job on the fish although I would have liked to hear a little better report. I’m heading out in the morning.

Wish it was better too, but will tell you we had one perch rig with white beads and white/pearl blades and that seemed to get alot more bites and alot more fish. Next hotest where just plain bare hooks. Also seemed to get more fish on the "sun" side of the boat. The fish just seemed very picky.
Talked about going tomorrow, wish we could. Good luck.

Yup, our best action both days last weekend was on the sunny side of the boat and plain hooks did best. Dark beads did the worst but I never tried any blades. Thanks and hopefully they are a little less picky tomorrow!
