No kill, but a fun hunt

Last night was a great hunt, I saw deer staedy from 4:30 until dark. 3 bucks but only one shooter buck and of course he didn't give me an opportunity. The deer were on the move very well last night. The biggest of the 3 bucks was following 2 does, he wasn't really chasing them hard, but he was following them at a leisurely pace. They were the first deer I saw at 4:30. From there the bucks got smaller and the does just kept coming by. My honey hole is heating up and the next few weeks should be good. There are 3 shooter bucks I know of and hopefully I should get a chance to shoot one in this stand. It is a great funnel in a hardwoods and I have just started to hunt it this weekend. I like to have the stand fresh and unhunted for the rut, and now is the time!! I will hunt it every 2nd or 3rd day until gun season hits, wish me luck!!

I hear ya bow! I took a shot at a doe yesterday and completely missed but had a blast!! Watched a button buck beat up a little fern like he was some massive beast! Then one of the 14 turkeys in the area had a standoff with one of the little button bucks, the turkey won :) Hadnt seen a deer in 6 years so just being able to watch them was a blast! No racks but hopefully Friday morning one will be checking out the liquid calling card that the doe that I missed left!! After smelling and licking my arrow she took a big ole leak right in the middle of the opening I am hunting over:) Best of luck!!
