Did anyone else whitness chasin over the weekend. All the hunters in our group saw does being chased. Hopefully the weather cools down before the weekend and things continue to progress. Sure is fun watching them get goofy.

I haven't seen any actual chasing yet, where the doe is isolated from her fawns. To date it's more along the lines of "harassing", where the doe stays within the family group but must deal with the bucks unwanted attention. It's more in the seeking phase right now, the FULL BLOWN chasing phase usually kicks in 6-8 days into November.

I had a little six point chase a doe past me this weekend. I heard them come across the river, and then watched as she zig zagged through the woods and he followed her step for step...grunting the whole way.
I believe a small portion of the does are coming into estrus now. Should be some good hunting :D

Nope no chasing as of last weekend in Rose City. I did see several bucks. One ran away from the bigger buck and the smaller one thrashed up a tree pretty good 30 yards away. The big buck didn't even check a scrape not more than 10 yards from where he walked away. Kinda stumped me as to why he wouldn't take the extra couple steps and check it out.

I shot my buck 3 weeks ago, he had the does running full throttle.

Saw a large 8 point with a single doe in a grassy field last night while driving around. About 40 yards from the 8 point was a small 6 point with a doe. The big buck walked off and the doe followed him. I thought the bucks follow does not the other way around!

Had a preety big 6 point running 2 does in a circle last night. Had a nice 10 point walk 50 yards in front of me in a winter wheat field. He walked right by a scrape a smaller buck had made a couple days prior. Went back out this morning and something had doubled the size of the scrape. Now that there in the chase is it a waste of time sittin on that scrape? I passed up a eight point 30 yards out didnt feel comfortable with the opening i had and he was on the small side. Kinda kicken myself now for not trying it being it would have been my first deer with a bow.

They've been chasing here for over a week now. Saw a bunch of it over the weekend and again today.
