OK, this is pretty bad, but it's a video and some ducks get whacked, so here it goes!

lesson #1: don't "figure out" how to use a hat cam while on your trip - try getting it down prior!
lesson #2: don't muffle the mic
lesson #3: always ensure that the camera hasn't shifted (nice and crooked,eh?!)
it'll get better - I promise!!

Not bad for your first time, it'll get better...........can you get us some actions shots of coots swimming into the decoys with you smiling right before you bust them up? :)

didn't like the hat cam idea, so for this one I just held the camera in one hand (right hand - I shoot lefty).
One was trying to make good his escape - he didn't make it!

I had download this codec to get it to work:
http://www.divx.com/divx/play/download/index.php
Some machines will have it already. All this is security to prevent people from pirating videos.
Branta, The camera had the software? The original resolution was cool because you could see the ducks flying up high but this does the trick! Good work! Not going after my job are you?

The goose video is pretty cool. What is your hat cam? Something new or your same old camera? I 'm wondering because I have been looking for one to buy. I still want to see the 20M version of the goose video.

I have about 5 clips from Dakota. Low quality. Off a cheap digital camera. Nothing special. ALot of times birds look 50 yds and there only 20yds.
IT was also my first year.......
Like I said I have a few clips ready to go....
OK, OK I'll show ya...
I'll link a couple for you guys, nothing special...
Don't mean to Step on anybody's toes I just thought since we had a thread going.:)
Also if you hear any swearing in there let me know. I only have one speaker working on my computer and it isn't very good. One of these clips my buddie calls out for his uncle to shoot a bird and we shoot it just before him just to pi$$ him off....
Let me know if you guys like it or not.

I'm sure everyone has seen these before. I have a ton of footage, just don't have the time to pull clips from it all. These are from the DVD I made from our second trip to Maine. The great thing about putting the gun down to take footage is, at some point in the future you'll really appreciate having it. The first 2 clips are of my Dad who just passed away this October. It's pricesless to be able to look back and see this type stuff.

Caddis,
How do you post up videos on MS? Do you have to be a charter member?

Thanks Stace. Funny how hunting seem sort of pointless after you lose the combination of Dad, best friend and hunting buddy. I just posted them here like I would a normal picture, then used the url that IE displays to link to them.
