I was looking at the DNR website and it classifies classes as Bow, Hunter, and Hunter/Bow.. I thought hunter safety took care of everything?? Is hunter safety the only one that's REQUIRED and the rest just extra?

I really don't know why the website has the classes broke down like that. Hunter safety class covers everything well, hunting. Archery, firearm, small game, waterfowl, ect..

Does everyone else here think that too? I don't really remember the actual name of my class, so I don't know which I took. But, I'm guessing the bow classes are just for bow hunting info and it's not required?

INTERNATIONAL BOW EDUCATION PROGRAM (ibep) Is required to purchase archery permits in many other states. os it is offered in Michigan. Mostly by Michigan bow Hunters members. This is a very well put together course and well worth the taking for beginning or even active bow hunters. Michigan hunter safety dose cover bow hunting along with all other hunting. But (ibep) gets in to a lot more detail.
