Its amazing how quickly threads have gone from simple observations, opinions, and questions to harsh comebacks in the last few months. Over the summer threads are well thought debates and discussions that enhance hunters views and ideas (mostly). But now, one question turnes into pages of flaming.

We're all in the same boat here: the love of hunting. Whether you hunt one way or another. Dont like or like. Remember to have fun and be safe. And do what you love the best.

If we loose our beloved Sport, no way of life, it will be our own in-fighting that does us in. I might not really like a certain way someone else enjoys the Outdoors, but I'm gonna be standing right next to them if they come under the gun for doing it. As long as it's legal. FRANK

Ditto on that! I recently came to the defense of one of our members who wasn`t going to post threads anymore because he would come under harsh attack everytime he did. I thought that was horse-apples.
There is not one among us that has the right to criticize another for their beliefs or their freedom of speech unless it is so heinious or detrimental to our sport as to speak out against it.! We are a band-of-brothers so to speak who share a common love of hunting, fishing, trapping and all things of the great outdoors.
While we may not agree with one person`s method of hunting, shooting, trapping, fishing, we never think that they might not agree with ours.
That is fine for most of us. Part of what makes our country so great is we have the freedom of speech and choice. Right now, we have young men and women fighting and dying for this freedom and it would destroy their morale if they knew we were squabbling over each other`s choices or preferences. Here`s what we need to do. If at some time you feel like chastizing or criticizing someone for their preferences, think about how you would feel if someone did it to you.Wouldn`t be very nice to have a few people gang up on you for something you love to do or the way you go about it! We need to be open-minded to others, when neccessary, give constructive criticism and empathy to others. Mind you we need to police among our ranks, for example, the idiot who wounds deer time after time after being told to practice more with their archery equipment. Or the person who dumps a truckload of bait at a time instead of the prescribed amount. If we fail to overcome this in-house arguing and brow-beating, we will lose our war, battle by battle, to keep doing what is loved and sacred to all of us here. The anti`s won`t have to lift a finger, they`ll giggle their asses off as we destroy it for them from within.
So, in the future, if you read a post and you don`t agree with it, either not answer it at all or give a suggestion that we all can learn from. Remember how it felt when someone took the time to help you when you needed advise or offered some constructive critecism.
`Nuff said. Take care all and have a safe weekend out there.

I believe and respect all who feel this way. I don't look down on anyone's beliefs or practices, for we have all done something wrong in our life. It's tough for outsiders to see the good of outdoor sport's when you have certain boneheads wanting to butt heads with other sportsman, just because they don't do thing's the same way. Keep the clear head sportsman. BE SAFE.
