My two brothers, dad, GWP(Markus) and I headed up to one of our favorite spots in the norther lower this weekend. We started off hunting all our best spots which each produced a stray bird at best. Everything was extremely dry so we started scouting some new areas along creeks and rivers. After these adjustments we got a lot of SHOOTING in.
Here is the view over the lake we camped on at sunrise Saturday morning.

After hunting most of the day Saturday and Sunday Markus was drained!

What a great weekend to get away. The weather was perfect and once we figured out what type of cover the birds were in the time just flew by...and so did all but three birds. (Total birds moved: 20+ grouse, 11 woodcock)
