Never seen anything like it=the ground is literally carpeted in areas with acorns. I am speaking more of the area south of Prudenville and around the Denton Creek flooding. Any of you seeing the same?

Yep, from the East side to the West side, like walking on gravel in most areas.

I have been hunting by Hastings, and there are acorns every where. And the deer are loving them, I have seen quite of few deer eating off of them.

I have never seen this many acorns in my life. My yard is almost solid acorns. Right under the trees there are huge piles. I thought some one was messing with me and dumping all of there acorns at my house but, but they just keep coming down

yeah, all the guys in my area are complaining=there is too much food! Maybe a sign for a brutal winter? Be interesting to see if it happens. If we get the big snows, at least there will food underneath it.

Hey, my Dad I were talking that we were due for a big snow for opening week of rifle season. Have not had snow for opening week in many, many, years.

Yup. And the deer are moving at night, until we get a cold snap(not this weekend either) those acorns are nighttime snacks.

The Baldwin is the same way. Acorns everywhere. Thats a good thing for the deer but it makes hunting tuff. I have seen more deer just walking in the woods no run ways, but just far enough out where there is no shot. This is not all bad because it is fun to try and out smart them which seems to be never.
