Didn't know where else to ask this question. I'm heading up this weekend to hunt near the bridge and was wondering if anyone went through the 202 exit area? Is it still down to one lane or is the construction complete. I don't want to sit in that mess again.
Anyone?
Thanks

I live in Gaylord... Exit 279, and just came back from a wedding this past weekend. The contruction mess is still there. We came back at 2am, so there were no delays, but it was down to one lane in a few areas from Flint on up. Heading up on 127 may help you avoid some of that. We came down on 127, back on 75. we only hit a couple of small construction areas on 127

Well, like I said, we came through that area about 2am, so there was no back up. We saw so much construction on the way back I can't say for sure it was at exit 202, but I know it was down to 1 lane in three or four areas from Flint on north. Hope you can find a way around it. Good hunting.

I hit exit 202 around 6:00 pm last Friday and it was backed up, but I got through it in about 10 minutes. There was only about a mile backup.

MDOT site says that work goes until Nov. 15:rant: . I hit it two wk-ends ago. I knew it was there but It was a Fri night at about 10:30. Took me 50 min to go 6 miles.
I head up 33 from there so I've already got my alternate route worked out.

From SE Michigan, taking 127 north from Lansing is 30-40 miles more but will save more than an hour of time by avoiding US 23 in Fenton and I-75 slow downs.

My dad and I went up last Saturday morning around 10:30a.m. still construction but traffic wasn't too bad. But then again two weeks before that around 6:30p.m. the traffic was bad and backed up for 45 minutes.

Went up last Saturday afternoon and came home Monday afternoon. Plymouth to Gaylord using 23 to 75 and back. No problem with the road construction except for a slight backup at the 23/75 split southbound. The usual idiots couldn't get in line and had to drive to the front. The construction added maybe a half hour to each trip so it wasn't bad. It's all in the timing. If I were heading up Friday I would use 127.
