Does anyone have any experience with the Blaqck Shadow Speed Pump Shotgun from Winchester? I saw it on sale at Gander Mountain for $249 in 12g ansd a 28" smoothbore barrel chambered for 3". Looks like it'd be ideal for many things. Anybody got one or has anyone shot one?

value for the money. I have had several of the 1300s and they work just fine.

I have the 20" turkey 1300, and I love it. Come up to the shoulder smooth, chambers and fires everything I put it without a hiccup.
I also like the "speed loader" feature of it. After shooting, the action is opened up a good chunk of the way, so just a short hand movement is all that is needed to load the next round into the chamber.
I don't think that you will be disappointed. I bought mine, 20", black finish, extra full choke, for about $225 from Galyans a few years back.

I Bought A Winchester Winchoke 1300 - 3 Shot Auto Back I Believe In 1980 It Has A Choke System And Has Taken Lots Of Deer And Ducks, Rabbits. It Was A Great Buy For 200$ Back Then And Is Still A Top Notch Gun Today.

I have two Model 1300's. One I have had for over ten years and has a wood stock. I use it exclusively for deer. The other is the Black Shadow with the synthetic stock and I bought it just last year. It is used exclusively for waterfowl. I plan to purchase the cantilever scope mount barrel this year and use the Black Shadow for deer hunting. Both guns are excellent choices with no problems with use. Would buy another in a second. The Black Shadow is a joy to carry, also.

I Have A 1300 Black Shadow W/ Slug Barrel 2 Years Old.......... I Love It Butt!!!!!! I Cant Shoot 3" Slugs Out Of It Without The Scope Falling Off After 5 Shots..... The Recoil Rips The Screws Out Of The Barrel!!!!!!! And Now The Iron Site Plate Has Been Ripped Off.. The Spot Welds Failed... So I Only Shot 2 3/4" Slugs Now... Had The Screws Retapped To A Larger Screw And Now They Seem O.K. But I Will Not Shoot The 3" Slug In It.......

I Love my 1300 was what I traded my moss 500 in for 8 years ago. Its the backup gun for my Rem 11-87. 2 3/4 sabots out of a rifled barrel and I can put them in 4" at 100 yards and 6" at 150. Really no need for the extra 1/4 inch.
