Buddy of mine is starting to get a few dead spots in his fishing boat flooring...his boat is similar in size to mine, a 25ft boat...not sure he is willing to tackle the job himself..can any recommend a good shop to get the job done...also what can he expect to pay for this project. Thanks again!

Glassmasters or PGA Marine would be my first choices. I have no idea on what it would cost him. Is he sure he just has soft spots in his floor and no other places like his stringers?

I did the front deck in my boat this summer - it wasn't too bad. Just need circular and jig saws, a stapler and a good drill. I took a couple of days doing it, but I wasn't in a hurry.

carpet or glass covered floor? if glass covered its going to be on the high side and more than likely there more damage than just the subfloor.

After taking a look underneath at the spots, it just seems like the wood cracked where it was seemed together, there are no sign of rot anywhere, anythought on how to support this...or is it better just to replace it, it is a fishing boat so the back floor is covered with the typical white fishing surface flooring
