I hunt at my parent's place in clarkston on 10 acres in the back corner. I have seen deer twice in the last 5 sits and last night I saw the biggest buck i have seen in woods. I think it was at least a 8 and probably bigger. He was crossing the field towards the property, about 100 yds from me and then just stopped in the middle. totally relaxed but decided to turn around and go back into the thick cover. There is a school about 2000 yds away and there were kids out playing, yelling and screaming so I think that is what made him turn.
I also, saw a doe and buck come out about 200 yds away but turned in the opposite direction of me. the previous deer also crossed about 100 yds away but didn't come close enough.
I have a doe bleet can and a grunt tube which i tried to use on all of them but with no luck. I don't think my grunt tube is that great and would be willing to buy a new one if people have any suggestions.

I can't move my set up and am just trying to figure out what I can use to get their attention to come near me for a shot. I am open for any type of calls, scents.. whatever.
I do take some apples out a little bit of corn when I sit but I use it more for getting them to stop for a shot as opposed to actually attracting them.

Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks,
Dennis

Dennis,
Try finding the path they are using go down wind and pick a tree that is close to all trails they are using and be quiet moving your stand get your stand close enough undetected you wont need scent just a steady shot...

Try a doe decoy! I don't think it could hurt

quicktripp,
I really can't move my stand any closer because I am already at the edge of the property line. I am just trying to get them to come closer to me since I can't get closer to them. for those who are already yelling that I am sitting on the property line. a horse pasture is to my left, private property on my right (no one hunts there) and the field deer are crossing is school property which no one is allowed to hunt.

live2bowhunt. I have been thinking of using a decoy. ( may have to wait until they go on sale). also maybe a mock scrape next year.

Thanks,
Dennis

Ok,
Looks like your in a pickle, at least until rut then the decoy rattling and calls will come into play dont hunt the area until yor sure you can persuade them.

Its still early and if nobody around there hunts take your time you will have him make a mistake eventually. Wait for rut and use tinks 69 he will be there eventually. Mock scrape can still be done right now too. I like the decoy idea for sure

Decoy use should wait til November 1 in my book. I'd move the stand as much as possible. Even if it's ten feet and make sure you have cover. Maybe even put it on the backside of the tree and use a different route each time you go in. Rubber boots are a must with scent killer spay each hunt. Buy Scent Lok next year.
