Went fishing for the first time here in Michigan with my wife and our almost 3 year old son.

Had a good time, even though we didn't catch a thing (didn't get any bites either). Nate was a really good sport, and didn't quit.

Next time...!!! :fish:

Where did you go fishing???? Not a single bite? Bummer...

But like the say:

A bad day fishing (with your son) is better than ANY day at work!!!

Great that you and your son went fishing ! Beauty weather for it. Sorry for the lack of "takers" on your offerings. A small piece of crawler on a small hook, underneath a small bobber thrown off of that platform should have brought a bite from something ! Keep at it. :)

I love that first picture.....really says it all. That's one to get a high quality print made out of, and frame it. I did that and gave it as a father's day gift once.

Thanks for the replies guys. We did have a good time. We did exactly what The Whale said...a little worm, a little hook, a little bobber, and a little patience. But to no avail.

Next time, we'll get 'em! If not, we'll try a different lake! :D

That shoreline looks like a lake I used to fish in college and tear up the walleye and pike. Used to do pretty good on the smallies in there also. I see your location is in the Soo. Is that the lake I'm thinking of?

Great Ice fishing too!!

Yup, that's Monocle Lake, near Brimley. Beautiful day...actually it was a little too warm for my taste. Can't wait for winter!

You should head over to Big Pine Island from where you live. Nice ramp if you have a boat. But, if you don't, you could fish from shore at the boat ramp, there's plenty of room. I've caught some nice fish from that lake. Lots of gills too in there too.
