After todays blow I would think that Erie would be a mud hole, wish I lived closer to be able to check it out. Got a bud who might come down from up by Bay city this weekend and sure don't want him driving all that way unless conditions are ok. If anybody fishes Friday would appreciate a report on lake conditions I will be going anyway but I only live a hour away and will post a report on Saturday.

Thanks Jimmy

weather buoy out there recorded a 7.2 ft. wave this morning, and the buoys alwats have lower readins than the actual wave height.

Yeah suckerbass lived in Howell area all my life, grew up on lake Chemung. I used to complain about the drive to Saginaw Bay until I started fishing Erie. Now I don't mind cause I am almost in the middle so I guess I am kinda lucky.

Suckerbass, when I was a kid we used to hammer super gills out of chemung, crappies and perch wasn't bad eithier. Caught a 18 lb northern one winter on a tip up. We had lake front property right in between the big and small end. My dads house was on the point with frontage in both directions. It was a sweet spot to fish. Lots of pressure on that lake in the winter now but a good limit of gills is still possible with some sorting. I usually just fish it first ice. They put walleyes in there a few times but I have only caught a few, one was 8 lbs though. Have tried just about everything but can't seem to come up with a good pattern. I hear they are doing pretty good on the eyes in Woodland lake in Brighton, You ever fished that one?

I use to fish woodland alot a few years ago. Mostly just bass fishing. I know there are waleye in there I just have never got many. Bolodunn and I fished there once last winter but did not do to well. I guess I should fish there more often.
Mike
