I have a English Setter that likes to run and I can't keep track of her in the grouse woods of the UP. I think she'd do better on the great plains. She'll point, retrieve and is a very hard worker. Any offers? ;)

Some questions...
How old is she? What's her breeding?
What's her medical history...all vaccinations, heartworm, lyme's tested (I wouldn't consider a dog from the UP without this), etc.?
How much training has she had? Has she ever been on an e-collar?
Got a photo?
How much are you looking to get?

What are you calling a big runner ???
I personally would not give up on her. I have a field bred Setter that runs pretty big. She will run a tree line at least a quarter mile if it is there. I gained a little control and she is becoming a solid lil grouse dog.
I have only pulled a couple burrs out this season. She gets most of them when we are in the fields, not in the Grouse woods. Correct me if I am wrong, but are these field bred Setters hair shorter. Mine seems to get very few burrs.

Well, you've attracted some attention to your post but I think you've missed a couple of things:
1. Several members here have asked you some very legitimate questions and you havent answered any of them. Why??
2. Could you take two minutes and fill out your profile so that we'd know who you are and where your coming from??
3. Last time I looked, the "Great Plains" was about a thousand miles from Michigan. Does she really run that "big"???? :yikes:
