I have all next week to fish, My plan is to start in the Grayling area. Plan on fishing a few days each for walleye and smallmouth. Anyone have suggestions on where to start?

congrats on picking the 2 best fish to chase! maybe try one of the ausable dam ponds, i've heard they offer good smallies, and I would imagine there's eyes somewhere too. Cooke Pond, Alcona, Foote Pond..... oh yeah Hubbard lake is known for both species, but is a bugger to fish.

Great Smallmouth Fishing ! Plus, I'm sure if You ask around local baitshops, You can get some info on the Walleye fishing. Good luck - Bob

Anyone have suggestions on where to start? walleye and smallmouth are biting on burt along with good perch. cant beat houghton lake this time of year.. maybe hubbard. fishing is really starting to pickup north now. good luck plz send reports .
