Proud Lake Rec. Area

This weekend a couple friends and I are heading out to camp at proud lake near Wixom. I went there one time this past Spring to camp with my Fiance, and we ended up not fishing because by the time we woke up and 'unexpected' snowfall had nearly frozen us.:SHOCKED: (I'm transfered here from California, and that was my first camping trip in Michigan)

Anyways, I read online that they have Pike, bass, sunfish and stocked trout up there. Any tips on what would be the best bet to try for this weekend?/what depth?

Any info would be greatly apriciated....any tips at all(even spelling tips.:lol: )

My only experience on this lake is with a fly rod, so I'm not sure if I qualify. I've been sucessful fishing for bass and the sunfish. There are some pretty good sized gills. The trout that are stocked there probably would not survive the summer water temps, sorry. The DNR stocks the river that feeds this lake in early spring for catch & release till the season opener, then it's everything goes. I here it's a great party on the eve of the opener.
