I haven't fished Vineyard for walleyes but fishing leeches off the bottom on floating jig heads has worked well for us on nearby Lk Columbia for them.

Rig it with a slip sinker and a 2 ft leader so the sinker is on the bottom and jig and leech float about 1-2 ft off the bottom.

It'll only get better..... look for the dropoffs that have a littl' weed growth & ya'll probab be doin real fine... lighted bobbers work real well this time of year... EXPERIMENT !!!! I have caught a couple right out in front of the launch about half way across. I was using a green yamamoto with a weedless jig head. that was three weeks ago. caught three at dusk only one was legal though.

I have never tried in front of the launch for the eye's. I have always went over towards the old Knapps landing.

Thanks for the help
