We can troll around in my boat if you want... not as comfortable as yours... but it floats and doesn't need to be paddled!!!
Hunters get shot... fishermen never get "caught!!" LOL!!! For some reason sitting in a tree all day doesn't sound like fun. So you find a tree next to a path deer frequent... hang a stand... wait... wait... wait... wait... wait some more.... wait... then get buck fever when he comes along and MISS!!!! Yeah, some fun :16suspect :16suspect :16suspect
I'd rather go fishing!!! Or snowmobiling.... which is coming up and I still need a new track!!

You guys may have had a good heavy rain yesterday. I had a short 1/2 inch yesterday. Not enough to make a dent in the drought over here. Sure won't help with stream levels or temps either.
Just wait till next thurs the 29th. Calling for snow in the UP and northern lower. Just in time to move some ducks and geese down. Hopefuly not enought to drive the wood ducks out.

Over an inch at my house in Wyoming. Pond level across the street from me actually went up noticably.

At first I thought that this was about the Sunday (the 25th) rains. I first encountered them at 5 am when the lightning started. The thunder made the cabin vibrate. Drove into Fremont (about 10 miles away) and they had a brief shower.
But, when I headed for home at about 2 that afternoon it was raining just about everywhere. And, when I got to Grand Rapids it was pouring and had been for 20 to 30 minutes.
I remembered that drive home and put fresh Rain-X on the windshield. Will be back up to Hesperia/Fremont this weekend.
