Hit Lk. Eie with Fillet of Soul yesterday . For a trip that almost wasn' t and with conditions on the water not the best . I quess we did alright 52 perch in a few hours . We got a late start, had switch boats at the last second , I had to leave early to get back for my son's cross country meet. We first set up in 22 feet nobody was home we moved out to 25 feet had slow bite , slide out to 26 feet started hitting em pretty good .We both felt if we would have stayed we would have limited . The war department (my wife) was real happy with me I actully made it home on time .

What were the sizes??? In the river, they are still only 8-10, no jumbos at all. Was hoping to see jumbos pretty soon the the river.

Got out in the afternoon on 9/21. Trolled for eyes - nuttin. Anchored for perch in a couple spots near semi-crowds and got a few (12 I think), then trolled back toward the harbor, picking up 3 eyes and a couple white bass. Perch - 24 fow, eyes, 22 fow, tots and spoons in chartreuse, 1 on a bb and harness.

Kevin ,
No real jumbo's , only a couble of dinks . Mostly 7 to 9 inchers . Size wise I've seen more jumbo's and super jumbos this then ever before but I actually don't mind the 7 to 9 inchers their the best in the fring pan .

Hey Larry save some of those perch for me  Was looking at your photo gallery, thats a good looking crew you have there. My wife loved the picture of your son holding the perch. I am working nights tonight and if I feel good enough and weather is ok will be going tommorow.

Larry,
Stayed home due to the storm that passed through Thur. night didn't think the fishing would be too good. I have a retirement party to go to for a old bud today and am staying put Sunday too with showers and thunderstorms predicted. I guess its good as I have a honey do list a half mile long to get done before my vacation next month. I have a week off in November too and I usually go steelhead fishing on the Manistee but if the weather is decent I might go perching instead. Good luck if you go out.
