I'm thinking about fishing the Soo this weekend. If any body good give me a report or help point me in the right direction that would be great. I'll be staying near Hessel. So if fishing is better out of Cedarville or Hessel I'll go there. You info is greatly appreciated.

Was there last week with limited success. I am almost wondering if that live cam is really LIVE. I have fished there many of times and this year was by far the worst. There just weren't many fish in the river. However they have to show up sooner or latter and it should really be picking up by this weekend I would think. Best colors were gold J-plugs back about 40 down 20-24. If you run dipsy's about 50 back set on 2. Alson green ladder backs and glow plugs after dark are very popular.

Was at the power plant last night and seen lots of fish but very few were caught. One was snagged and another guy lost one on a blue and silver cleo.

It's live. I've watched the camera from inside the power plant and then walked out of the edge and looked straight down at the camera and seen all the fish.

How come it looks no different at 12am and 12pm. I know what your talking about by looking down and seeing them I have seen the same thing from the board walk and know exactly where it is is located. I could be wrong but, there looks like the same amount of fish in their as there was 2 weeks ago on that cam. I just don't think there are that may fish in the river right now but what do I know.

It looks no different because they have spot lights shinning in the water so the camera can still see the fish.

I just checked it out (1:00AM) and it "seems" like theres a few more fish than 12 hours ago, but it could simply be fish moving by cam area at night.
Has anyone really watched this cam in the past and seen alot more fish than what we are seeing now? Just wondering how big of a change in number of fish we might expect in a couple of weeks?

Oh, how deep is the camera set in the water?

I was watching it yesterday, and seen a ton of fish on the screen. As for how deep it is set in the water, I beleive it's only about 3'-4' under water, as u watch every once in awhile you can see a fish porpse and the air bubbles when the come back down.
