I want to take some of my customers out for a day on lake Erie chasing those slob yellow Bellies. But it is a toss up, should i go out of Bolles harbor or some where in Canada.....Erieou (sp.) Colchester etc. Waiting for the water to turn over, probably some time in early October. Any words of advise from all you lake Erie warriors.

The average size of the fish will be much larger on the Canadian side. I know the Belanger's run perch charters over there, but don't know anything about them. Their phone numbers are in the article linked below.

No need to wait for October, the bigs one have already started.

I work on charter boats all the time. I'm a MCBA first mate. I would never fish on a Canadian charter boat, ever. They don't keep them in good condition and if they work it's a miracle. It's not something I would ever take a customer on. Their boats are just nasty. If you want jumbo perch I know of a Captain who fishes out of Huron, Ohio this time of the year and gets nice jumbo perch. Capt. Ron Levitan www.passintime.com. He'll show you and your clients a great time. I know for a fact you’ll like his boat more then any Canadian charter boat. He has a beautiful 31 tiara.

I second Tacklemasters comments about Captain Ron Levitan on Passin Time Charters. He's the best I've ever fished with. I do believe he now is fishing out of Huron Ohio for those Erie fall hawgs.
