Are you asking for advice on the choice? My opinion go bowtech! In Nov. the new models will come out and may find a deal on an 05.

Onieda for 16 years, tried to shoot my PSE, felt like a guitar...I'll never switch to anything different.

Those are about the alpha and the omega of the product line right now brother.

One is Smooooth, but a bit slower and tad louder. The other has one of the harshest draw cycles (lots better than the old HCA barn burners or even the 01-03 Bowtechs though) but extremely fast and quiet.

Have him shoot both and decide.

It seems your either an Oneida guy or your not in a lot of cases.

Bowtech allegiance.......REAL tough to beat speed, no timing issues real quite and a HECK of a lot less moving parts and smaller price........But i just sell bowtechs for a living !!

If you sell bowtechs and are from Flint, you must be at Hicks. Good people there.

The "loudness" issue with an Oneida can be delt with (like any other bow).

I agree, shoot them both and decide what feels the best in his hands. For me it was the 05 Oneida Black Eagle ESC.

Oh yea, if you want "more" speed out of the Oneida...don't forget about Monsterbows !!!

Bowtech in general Fishy.

They're both great bows...don't get me wrong. But the Bowtech is the fastest there is and very, very few cons to the Allegiance, Old Glory or even the Defender.

I won't say one is better than the other....they're so different it's really not an "Apples to Apples" comparison IMO.

i love the bowtech line up ...but when they get up over 60lbs they (in my opinon draw harsh) i love the liberty and if i didnt shoot a oneida and a monster bow i would have a 58lb liberty rigged up ..

at monster bows we can build you a speed demon if that is what you want..we can also make them quiet (not quiet like some bowtechs ) but when your talking speed something has got to give...lol...and quiet is one of them, however i have had people coment on my monster bow that it is very quiet and i have killed many deer with it and by the time that 300fps arrow hits em, i think the noise is the least of their worries...lol

we also monsterize wheelie bows...making the cam run more true , which inturn makes the bow perform better in all areans...

our home page is almost done but you can check out our forums

bow example: we just built a 30in draw (oneida platform) monster bow.
95%+ let off: 70# 350gr arrow...went 320+ fps
