I have a bass fishing tournament on Lake Charlevoix Sept 24 and have only fished the lake once, unsuccessfully I may add. If anybody could give me any help as to how to catch bass in that lake this time of year I would be VERY appreciative. Also, I will be there to pre-fish some on the afternoon of Thursday Sept 22. Any knowledgable fisherman who wants the passenger seat of my boat for the day I would be more than happy to provide gas, food, and beverage.

I was at the lake Labor Day week-end and camped at Fishermans Island Campground on Lake Michigan. We went swimming at the beach before we left Monday and I noticed that there was a rock bottom that seemed to extend about 1/4 Mile out or more, and lots of purpleish crayfish washed up on shore. Do you know if smallmouth would be holding there this time of year? I had zero luck in the main lake, lots of clay drop-offs, not as much rock structure as I anticipated. Then again it's hard to cover the lake in 2 days of fishing and two women in the boat:bash: !!!

Any help would be MUCH appreciated :) ,

On the main lake try the drop off by the old power plant on the south arm the piers are always good and the weed beds down in front of the co park. Good luck
