View Full Version : Opinion Entry level bowhunter
Looking at a Hoyt Magantech with everything for $340. Is that a good deal if the bows in good condition at 2 years old?..
Thanks...I look forward to any input. :help:

Look at the Parker hunter mag, Fully loaded and ready to go if you want a NEW bow , Nothing wrong with the Hoyt Great bow.

The MagnaTec is a great bow! I'd say $300. I let you in on a secret. (ok, not really a secret!)The Relflex Grizzly is/was the Hoyt Magnatec. You can get this bow with site, rest, arrows etc for $299 brand new. This is with the cam n' half. Reflex is a division of Hoyt. Do a little search on the web. Hoyt updated the Magnatec a couple of years ago so I'm not sure if the one your looking at is the "new" model, but if it is identical to the Grizzly, just buy the Grizzly. Check out Hoyts website and Reflex's website to gather more info.
Either one is a very good bow.
I used to have a Magnatec and I really liked it as well, fast enough, and very accurate/forgiving.

Whatever you get you better hurry up and get and start practicing with it if you plan on bowhunting this year!

I used one for years (about a 99 model) and was probably more accurate with it than I am with my new one. I realize they've updated them (Reflex?) but still a great bow for the price.
