Gander Mountain Grandville has teamed up with a young woman who has a son with Cerebral Palsy. He is 5 and has already had 2 hip surgeries, one eye surgery, and is facing a 3rd hip surgery. NONE of the therapy involved with these surgeries is covered by their insurance. So she and Brock from Gander have put together a bass tournament on Hardy Pond for this coming Sunday, Sept 18. This is being run from the Brower Park ramp. Regristration is from 7:00 to 7:50 with take off at 8:00 am. Weigh in is at 2:00 pm. Standard tourney rules apply (2 man teams, 5 fish limit, obey no wake zones, artificial bait only, dead fish = half wieght, etc...). Cost is $25 a man ($50 per team) with cash prize for 1st (based on number of entries) and prizes for 2nd thru 4th. Gander has put up a $25 gift card to be drawn from the non-prize winning entries. I just talked to Brock and there are 12-15 boats so far. If anyone is interested in fishing for a good cause please come on out to Hardy this weekend. I've been quoated as saying "hardy sucks" but I'd rather fish and catch nothing than not fish at all, especially for a good cause.

This would have been an opportunity to get revenge from last Sunday
Is Dave going to fish with you?

Actually I have Justin this --> <-- close to commiting to it. If he backs out on me I may just call Dave. Problem is, I don't know hardy well, Justin seems to know it pretty well, and I don't think Dave has ever fished it.

Justin would be my first pick.
2nd would be my friend Pat who has a seasonal and a boat slip at Oxbow Park.
Pat says Hardy does not suck! ;)

We caught a couple tonight. Martin also caught the skinniest pike I have ever seen! 25" and maybe 2.5 pounds! It was a pencil!
