I guess not all the Chinook Salmon are dead on lake Huron. Heres a (live) underwater cam shot set up by the Lake Superior State University. It's set up at the base of the Dam on the Saint Mary's river. The King and Pink salmon run is in full swing up there right now, but the two never mix, so most of the ones you'll see will be kings with a few Atlantics thrown in. After the site loads, click on "Trigger" to get the cam to come on. For anybody who's seen it, this dam has flood lights on at it's base that stay on at night.

That is cool! I think the ones with the very pronounced spots and the extra snarly kipe are Atlantics. Could be wrong though.

I believe your right sid. As I did spot 2 atlantics when I was watching it.

Like was said, just cancel the password prompt. The cam was set up by Roger Griel at their Aquatics Lab there at LSSU
We went up there for a few years in a row for the pinks. We'd launch at the City Park downstream a little ways from this Big Brown dam where this cam is, and fish up near the falls or the other power dam just below it on the American side. Simply cast or virtical jig with Lur Jenson Krocodiles, silver/blue for the pinks. Use Chunk spawn and bobbers for the kings. Four of us caught 180 pinks and 11 kings in a 2 day marathon one year. Sad part is the pinks are not that good as table fair. :(

Thanks Dan, and just wanted to give you a heads up, and I hope you don't mind, but I copied your posted and put it under coldwater forms.

I don't know if the spot lights are turned on, you can see the screen, but it's just black like there's no lights. I was watching last night, and all afternoon, I would try again in the morning when the sun is up.

I think that is one of the coolest sites I've seen. I have been on there a few times the last couple of days just watching them go by. I'd much rather eat walleye or perch, but those are the fish I spend most of my money chasing. I keep waiting for the camera to lift up and show that I'm looking at the same 50 fish in an aquarium.
