Anyone know when the fall walleye bite will start at the Holloway? My buddies and I were thinking about coming home from college to do a little fishing. We had really good luck in the spring and are hoping the fall will produce as well.

its pretty sketchy in the fall from what I've seen. The water is low right now and that's not good because the way I see it, it can only go lower in the fall, still fishable for a while though. Unlike the spring though, the fish have the motherload of fat baitfish to eat now. Best bet is to find the schools of shad and troll in the evening to night time with sticks and shad raps. PM me after this weekend and I may have some current poop for ya (good or bad). oh ya, full moon this weekend....yeeee haaaa...they gotta be there somewhere, here's hoping for cooler weather.

for the reply. We've actually never tried to troll it. My buddy doesnt like to troll and its his boat so what he says goes I guess. And we've never really had a reason to change since we always did so well drifting. We've never fished it this late in the year before (rarely after mid june) so we dont really know where the fish are. I think we all just wanna go one last time. I know I got the itch again after tubing down the chippewa river and seeing all those little fishys swimming around.

I think I just might go over there this Fall also. If the Wallere dont show up I will try for some Bass.
I need to stay a little closer to home anyway because of the high price of gas. I stop to fill up my truck and the pump shut off before it got full. There was a $75 doller limit on the pump and I needed 33gals. :yikes: :bash:
