Kingston Lake, Alger county

Anyone ever fish it? We'll be around Grand Marais camping and kayaking next week and thought I might give it a try. Thanks for any info

small, shallow...dnr used to plant tigers there years back..they were fun..dnr has since switched to northern muskies and walleyes..easily fishable, but amount of fish taken is usually few in number......its a little off the beaten path so i would make sure not to wear my antlers or feathers! :evilsmile ....Nawakwa lake is a little south of grand marais, might offer a little stronger fishing for eyes.

I've been by it several times but never fished it. I saw the stocking reports....a muskie in a kayak might be an adventure, but I'm more interested in some tablefare
