Got some new rod holders in the mail yesterday (finally!!) and was thinking about trolling for some eyes or pike. Anyone doing any good on Big Whitefish for eyes? I hear it's a pretty good lake for eyes, but have never even been on the lake.

Anyone have some info?

I have caught eyes thru the ice there on tip-ups. I wouldn't call it a good place to fish for eyes though. The boat launch on that lake sucks. One big mud hole for a launch.

Tim, does the lake have a decent public access for Ice fishing? If so would you need 4WD?

The parking lot is fine, not a lot of room though. The launch itself is just bad, have to back your boat so far into the water that you get into mud and there is only room for about 10 vehicles with trailers.
I don't know if the state is even stocking walleye in there anymore. The lake is real busy in the summer with water skiers.
