the only problem is, you only get to set it for one range, not like a pin sight where you may have 4 pins all set for different yardages. I try to sight mine for 20 yds, and adjust for anything closer or farther from that. the good thing is, that it allows me to shoot with both eyes open.
check out the propoint by tasco, and the Aimpoint. I'm currently using the BSA myself, and it works just fine.

I use a "Sightron" and love it! I sight the bow in at 25 yards and leave it for hunting. 3D I gap shoot, with good luck.
Beats the heck out of using a peep sight!

Pollington makes a great Red Dot.
Pollington is the owner of Oneida bows. www.oneidaeaglebows.com (http://www.oneidaeaglebows.com) they are based in Marion and customer service is #1. As far as a not being adjustable, my brother-in-law has a Pollington mounted on a HHA (I think) adjustable mount and is shooting out past 50+ yards.
Good luck.

I have the Tasco mounted on an adjustable bracket that you can mark for any yardage (Can't remember the manufacturer). I don't think I would go back to regular sights. Two words of advice. Always keep a spare battery, and always remember to turn it on before you draw back!

Spend the money and get a pollington. Todays bows shoot flat enough to sight in for 20yds and your good for 10-35 yds with very small drop/rise in that distance no need for the old 4-5 pin setup unless you are going to a competition. I love mine and never go back to the pins for hunting

Exactly!! I bought mine from a good member of this site and I love it! It's the 33 mm model. They are expensive, but worth every penny. Most cheap red dots have a green or red hue to the lenses, worthless in low light. The Pollington is clear as can be.
I don't have great eyesight, have problems focusing on the pin thats up close and then the target at a distance...one or the other is going to be blurry. I can manage with regular pins just fine, but super imposing a red dot directly on the target (no not laser!) completely eliminates this. I have scopes on every gun except my bird guns so this is a natural. There is no magnification on the pollignton, nor would I want any.
Mueller is working on a system as well that looks promising. Do a search in this forum and you should find some info. Lots of threads about red dots as well.
Best bet would be to try one first. Take a run up to Pollingtons shop Marion, the Buck pole. They will let you shoot some set ups and take good care of you. They can set your rig up as well and it will quicken the learning curve of setting these things up and using them properly. Worth the time and the money!

I have mine set for about 23 yards. Shoot it enough and it is pretty easy to compensate if you know the range.
