I recently purchased a g2 bow and it seems that with a release I am straining to get my draw arm to the limit, seems too long of a draw. My question is ,the manual says to replace the module on the cam with a different one, which I have, but do you need to put the bow in a bow press to change the draw length cam or can you just remove the set screws and change modules?
I was measured up and the fellow says 29.25 inch draw, bow is set for 29", but with a loop and release it seems too far from my anchor point. Any suggestions?? Seems as I am going past my original anchor point before bow comes to full draw.would like to try changing from 29" to 28" to see if it would bring my anchor point forward. Don't really want to hook release directly to the string as it would pinch the nock I think. All help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks Mike

Usually if you can see the allen heads on the module you can get to them without a press. See if there is enough room in there to get an allen head and remove the module.

If you are not 100% sure spend the $10.00 to take it to a shop and let them change it for you. To be sure look up the bow specs on-line. If you want an educated guess, if the string does not engage the element you are changing when the bow is not drawn, you PROBABLY do not need a press. In any case, better safe then sorry. <----<<<

Well, I changed my draw length cam with out a press. I looked at it and said here goes nothin! Took out the two screws and the other cam come out , no problems. Only thing was that you use a different hole for tis cam bolt than the other one. Thanks to all who gave me the info {courage} to change it myself. Now to get the bow set up and start shooting!!!

Thanks Mike
