Salmon Lures on the Manistee

I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of lures to use when fishing the BM and it's tributaries. I used spinners in the spring while fishing for steelhead and was wondering what other kind of equipment I should bring. Thanks in advance for your help.

Down deep junior thundersticks in firetiger and some other random colors are always a sure bet. Though mostly by firetiger because it seem 90% of the time it works.

If you can get some fesh spawn i would recommend using a fresh chunk of spawn under a bobber. They cant refuse it!! Good LUck!!

I second that spawn is like crack cocaine to these fish. Save your money and the hassle....get the bobbers out! (or I mean strike indicators if you sip your tea with your pinky extended)
