Howdy all,

I been lurking around this thread for awhile and after over 10 years I decided that maybe I needed to get my old bow out...I have an old Spoiler Comp. of the (flat black with lazer gold and silver lightning bolts era) for those of you that remember them. It shoots a modest 260 fps on a 29" draw....Anyways it seems it's like riding a bike.
Shot placement was a little high at 20 yds but a slight pin adjustment cured that...Bet them old mackenzies I got never thought they's see another hole lol...

There's a local club up here north of Remus that's having a 3d shoot in Sept on the 20th and 21st I think...anyone interested in coming up and having a go at? I am not member there anymore (due to, to many politics) but I know that it is an course to shoot...I anyone is interested I can firm up the dates, times and find out what the fees are...I am going to go and shoot and would welcome a couple of people to go with me...

Barryton Rod and Gun Club I believe? If it weren't such a drive, I'd be in...
I believe Mecosta County Rod and Gun club are holding shotos on teh weekends as well...just for fun shoots. Last time I was there, they were planning a course and 3d target purchases.
Welcome back!!

You're exactly right swamp...MCRR have their range open now as well although I haven't been there and it's right around the corner from house...How is it that you are so familiar with this area?

I'm in...Let me know when you want to shoot. I'd love to go. Didn't know there was a course in the area. I live on McKinley, and hunt a section about a mile west of the club. Know the area well. Actually tracked a deer through the course that my buddy shot last year. Didn't know they had a 3-D course, and laughed when I thought one of the targets was his buck looking at us.

Let's SHOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lk, I used to live in Sylvester on 85th ave, north of Kings Corner...the Ice Cream place. Lived and in that area for about 6-7 years. If you were ever in Antlers, we've probably met. Used to Manage it for Don. I also own property on the south end of Hughes swamp off of 60th. Was a member at MCRR for a number of years before I moved south.
I went to school at Ferris and just fell in love with the Mecosta area. I'm originaly from the Niles area where I live now, but the Mecosta area will always be home. Hope to someday build a small gettaway place up there.
Great fishing, hunting and good people, want more could you ask for!

The big metropolis of Sylvester is about 6 or 7 miles from me. I am about 5 miles from where your property is...Antlers is very near, maybe a couple of miles...to expensive for me though..

I got the Little Muskegon in my front yard and if you are up this way throw a rod or two in, send me a pm and I'll send you directions, and we'll have to try and scare up a brown or a brookie..
