Really tested the old saying "A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work" this morning. Started out in the South Channel along Russel and Harsens Island, picked up 2 (1 keeper) on the first pass, nothing after that. Shot over to the Middle Channel, made one pass in their but it was way too windy to hold a good troll. Went back to the South and tried for a while longer with no luck. Winds were getting progressively stronger so I got out of there around 10:30.
Might go back Sunday AM, we'll see.

You don't know until you try!! Been there and done that before Bripow!!! There will be plenty more days you try that and get your limit!!! I have nooo doubt on that!

Was right there with bripow. Made four passes on the south then moved to the north. Caught 4 total (2 keepers) on the north right in front of the ramp. Last pass was right in town from Locust point to the bend. Tried to stay out of the wind (leeward side)

Probably Sunday too. Bright and early then off by the time the idiots wake up.

Just because I'm not leaving the dock till 10 doesn't make me an idiot..............does it? ;) ......We'll be targeting Muskie so getting out there at the crack of dawn is not really required. :)

I'll be launching at 05:30 Sunday with that immigrant Buckeye, Ramlundman.
We'll probably start out casting for mooskies till just past dawn, then proceed to pound the Largemouth into submission in the grass beds. When the sun gets higher we'll troll for muskie in parts unknown. Off by noon, yunless the bites REALLY hot in some hidey hole.

Idiots= guys with big boats who throw 4 ft wakes close to others when they have the whole lake to traverse. Most of whom awaken at noon.

Got out early with Cookie, and Bottom Line. Headed out past the weather bouy and set up shop. In two hours of walleye fishing only managed one eye, a huge smallie, and a few perch. Did loose a large toothy critter after about a five minute fight. He broke off the lucky harness too. Also had another walleye come off at boatside. He was trying to get a four inch perch that we had been dragging. Then switched over to try for som Musky. Only one hit, about a four pound walleye. The ride in was slow due to the rough seas. Back at em Sunday. Was quite a bit more than a walleye chop.

hey mike don't forget about the 34'+ boats that find it necessary to buzz down the south or north channel on half-plane, creating a nice line of 7' rolling swells!

I would like to Apolagize right now for sometimes going anywhere up to 18mph in my 16' crestliner and throwing upwards of 6inch wake at times   :yikes: :bash:

This morning I had a 16-18ft alum. boat go by at full throttle and he was no more than 50ft from me. I was on the middle channel off to one side. Had a jig ready to pitch (should have done it, could have caught a boat with 4 occupants)
