limited out between dark and 11pm, 30 feet of water .only had to measure 2 fish. #7 rapala blue and silver and black /silver boat control was awlful until the wind laid down

We limited out also right by the coast guard station. We didn't get out there till almost 10 but were done by 11ish as well. We had a couple to measure and 1 throwback, also got 1 4lber. I had the Blue Starcraft.

Holy smokes, was it a little bumpy out there? I was on LSC and there was a steady N-NE breeze.

Esox, coming from DEARBORN I was REALLY listening to the wind forcasts and I KNOW BETTER. I figured worse comes to worse I'd end up in the river.
It was REAL bouncy under the Bridge but once I got out to Open water it wasn't that bad. We were bouncing a little but I didn't really have any problems controlling the boat. The longer we stayed the calmer it was getting. Only ended up being out there 1-1.5 hrs.

we talked to 2 guys at the ramp,dont recall the make of boat but sounds like u. i have a blue and white starcraft. i think you said u were from down river, maybe around trenton?

I'm actually from Dearborn and fish downriver for the spring run.
My buddy was the BIG guy you first talked to, we had his black f150. I drive a gray excusion with a WYOMING plate on the front.

Got a PM from wildboar a few days ago, he'd been having some bad luck in the river up there. Gave him a few pointers from you and I and where we were. He went out last night and went 4 for 5 in the same spot.

Good To Meet You To Willie. It Seems Like The Hot Spot For The Time . I Think Things Will Get Better In Sept. I Was The Old Guy And I Had My Son And Grandson With Me. My Grandson Loves To Fish And He Is Better At Pulling Wire Than I Am.

Thanks again for the help Bill. I was out there Saturday night from 10pm til 5 am. Took my brother and his boys we put 8 nice fish in the livewell. Lots of vehicles in the lot. Unfortunately when I got back someone had side swiped my truck. Grrrrrrrrrr. Oh well, I did catch fish :D

We had the same thing happen to our car at the kids soccer game over the weekend I AGREE GRRR!
I never made it out over the weekend, was going to go last night but didn't, probably won't get out till after laborday now. I'll be camping at Lakeport this weekend but won't have the boat with me :mad:
