Not many EYES...caught 3 thru one back...worked the firecracker, back of
the St Clair Light...All Canadian side..ran bouncers with harnesses...best result was with a purple with chrome back, and orange/shartruse split...
Good News/Bad News...Caught 10 nice perch while eye fishing....also, caught
40 more dinks that ate 3 dozen worms along with many silver bass...
the dinks and silver bass actually drove us out of the area near the channel
by the firecracker...we had four poles out and all four were being hit with
dinks or cleaned out...droves us nuts!

I think the cold weather has trigerred the perch run near the channel.
We ran all over the lake ...down to the dumps...nothin doin on eyes but did
catch huge bass and sheep head.....

Thanks for the report. I hope to get out Thurs or Fri morning. Not sure where yet. May try the Algonac area again. Calling for east wind both days :(.

Travis, I'll be camping in Algonac Friday-Sunday. Will be on the river somewhere.

hope to be out there friday,saturday,or sunday morning.I'll be in a 17ft tracker,anyone sees me stop and say hello,would like to put a face with all the names!plus i need all the help I can get :dizzy:

Wed night, Fished Firecracker, and between 29 and 31. Ton of Silver Bass and dink perch to weed through. Went through at least 4 dozen crawlers. Got 4 keeper eyes, 24-1/2, 18, 15 and 13-1/4 (no we didn't step on it) also got a bonus 13-1/2 " Slab Perch. Bounced harnesses, most luck on Firetiger blades.

Picked up 9 this morning. Only three keepers (2-14',1-23"). All keepers were picked up just past the Harsens ferry. Caught a couple nice smallies also. Harnesses and bouncers in 30-38'.
Mike, the wife wants to go out somewhere this weekend. If I can get her out the door early enough we will be out there. I will keep an ear/eye out for you.
