Im just curious because there is no doe hunting this year in my area , and I was wondering if that would push some guys to other places.

Just go a couple of blocks south....plenty of doe hunting available in Mecosta County. Lot a friggin' deer too! At least in the southern part of the county. Mecosta county used to have some of the highest deer #'s in the state and after 5 years of unlimited doe permits I still think that is the case. Was up that way for business last week so I took a drive out and about near my property and could not believe the deer numbers. It was silly really. If there were any deer left at all in Lake county, I think they must have moved into Mecosta!

Most of the Reed City area is in Osceola but I too am in Lake county and still considered a Reed City address. I will be hunting the property behind the house like always. And I'll try to stick a doe w/ a bow. I have good numbers of does around my place. Northern Mecosta used to have plenty of deer but after the unlimited permits for so long and the deer drives I've seen and participated in, it's getting bad.(northern part anyways) Used to see some good bucks too and a lot of them but the last 3-4 years has gone south.
