Last week I noticed a lot of acorns already falling and there were split in half or only half grown. The question I have is it because of the heat or lack of water,or is this normal.

probably because of drought, although disease or injury will also cause this.

Yep, I'm noticing this too. And a lot of leaves falling and changing already, apparently due to the stress of the drought. Been awful dry at my place this summer.

My white oak in the front yard is dropping acorns already and they are full grown and look very healthy.

The ones by me do not look heathly at all. Infact I don't see that many in the trees. I would love to have a year like last year. Big acorn crop last year
