Hey guys, I hunt in Chippewa county. For you guys that live up that way or do lot of travel that way how does the deer hurd look this year?

From what the winter was like last year when I was up snowmobiling I would assume the deer made it through pretty well. My son and I are gonna bow hunt the first few days of Nov this year. Thanks!!

The fawn crop is pretty good this year. I've been seeing nearly equal numbers of singles and twins which is a good sign. That's far different than the high fawn mortality rate that we've seen the previous two years. Don't expect to see many 1.5 year old deer this season. Deer numbers are down but that's no surprise to anyone.
