Does anyone know where the best prices for under armour are. I would like to try this stuff but dont want to pay too much. That stuff is not cheap. Hopefully its worth it.

i have been wearing underarmour loose gear for quite awhile now! it is worth every penny. it keeps you much cooler in hot weather and dry! the prices are the same across the board! i have yet to find it on sale anyplace! i have been using another prouduct that is close to it and just as good.

What is this under armor? Clothes to hold scent in?

I just bought the underarmour longsleeve shirt for cold weather. Ive never used it before, but being a diehard waterfowler I though I would try it out. I bought mine from Gander Mt last winter and it was somewhere between $30-$40.

Arin, Under Armour are like spandex. There are heat gear(for when its hot), and cold gear(cold weather). The cold gear is engineered to maximize warmth and moisture transport, while minimizing bulk. Any sweating or moisture that occurs is driven to the outer layer, where evaporation occurs.

Ah, I thought I saw something like this. In the BPS Hunting Classic ad they're on sale. Redhead EnderaSkin Scent Protection, Moisture management and temperature control. Sounds like your description.. $25 for long sleeve or long pants. $20 for short sleeve and $15 for shorts.

Go to marshall's or TJ max you can get cold gear leggings for $15 instead of the regular $45

Dunham's is probably your best bet for a sale. Also, if you have AAA (and a couple other memberships, Farmer Jack's card I think???) you can get 10% off all regularly priced items. I have AAA and always use my discount at Dunhams, and I have never been asked for my AAA card once. Sometimes the kids working the counter give you 10% off items on sale because they don't pay attention, or they don't care.

Throw my .02 in. I'm one of those freeze easy guys. Under Armor is definitely worth the price, and is the only thing I have found to keep my hiney warm! I highly reccomend it. Good luck to you all this season!

Been using it for the last couple years and its awesome. Your skin will stay dry because it wicks away the moisture. My outer scentlock/aquatec jacket will actually be wet from the persperation while the Underarmour Cold gear is dry. We got a real good deal on ours. $49 for long sleeve top/bottoms and underwear..Buddy of mine is a local HS football coach who gets it at cost because most of his players wear it during their games and he orders in bulk. :D

Here's my $0.02 from a guy who sells textiles for a living . . . Under Armour is great stuff, but you are paying an awful lot for marketing. There is a reason all those Pro Football and Basketball players are wearing the stuff.

There are a number of other brands - Hot Chillys, Peaches, Patagonia . . . come to mind that are cheaper. The key is getting Polypropelene or a blend with polyester. Polypro is extremely light weight and has virtually no moisture regain i.e. It lets your sweat pass through and will not absorb it. Therefore you keep a dry layer next to your skin.

I have two black thin turtlenecks made of polypro which I rotate for all my cold weather endeavors. Check out ski shops as well. They all carry this type of stuff.

They have the newbalance version on sale at dunhams for $13. Now that is hard to beat and it seems just as well made if not better. Seems like it may not fray as easily as the under armor. I picked some up at the one in Ypsi last night. Gread deal if you ask me.

I second what Zeboy said. All that Amrouor is waaaaay over priced. Here's what I did....I looked at the tag to see what Armour is made of,(I think it was something like 63% polyester, 24% nylon, and 13% spandex) then looked for a cheaper brand with similar material. I think I came up with something even better. From my own quick research I found that you want either polypropolene or polyester to wick moisture. I found 100% polypropolene under shirt/pants at Dunhams for, get this......$26...TOTAL!. They are $13 each. I love them...

I have the redhead enduraskin. I don't think it's made to be a compression fit, but it fits me snug. It is awesome for moisture control. I wore it out in the rain and it was dry in about 2 mins. and when I cleaned my deer and it got all bloody, it cleaned up perfectly as I washed my hands. great stuff!!

I've used them both, and I definitely prefer the performance of Under Armour to something that's 100% polypropylene.

Like Zeboy I have the other brands..Hot Chilly's...which I bought at Jays about 5 or 6 years ago; and Patagonia ..from their catalog.

I like both, tho if I had a do-over I'd go Hot Chilly's all the way. A skiing friend told me about them. And I thought then and do now that they were a heckuva good investment. I've worn 'em hard and they show no wear...so far. More importantly, they keep me warmer than any other 'long-john' type of underwear.

I have never tried Under Armour...in fact, I never heard of 'em until reading about 'em a few months back on the M-S forums.

I have tryed a polypro and wool combination under clothing that I have bought rather inexpensively about $26 for both pants and shirt. Its comfortable to wear and makes a nice set of pajamas .Warmer than just cotton it is but Im not overly impressed by warmth.Looked at gander mountain at the pure polypro material sheesh that totaly overwelmed me.Different color materials for different comfort levels depending on how active you are. Then I couldnt find my size that I needed. :bash:.I would like to buy something that will keep me warm for this winter without having to wear 20 tons of clothing to do it. :help:

try some under armour. I have been out in 30 degree weather, only my feet, head, and hands were cold (everything i dont have under armour for) otherwise, i was nice and toasty. (and they do make hoods, gloves, and socks). Make sure you get the cold gear.
