.45 or .50 cal.

I am new to blackpoweder. I have found a .45 cal. Winchester X-150 for 109.00 at Gander mountain. I was Just wondering if this is a good gun to start off with or should I should buy a .50 cal. ?? (Any kind of input will help out greatly)

I beleive .45 would kill em dead, if you do your job. HOWEVER, from all the other guys who I've talked to tend to think .50 is better. To me dead is dead, but if you ever go to trade/sell the .45 won't have much interest.
