Do you need license to hunt chipmunks???

I like shootin the little buggers, and just wondering if its illegal or if I need a license.

There is a list of animals that can be legally taken all year (with a valid small game license) at the bottom of the seasons chart in the Hunting and Trapping guide. Chipmunks are not on the list and there is no legal season on them so I'm pretty sure it's illegal to shoot them.

If you insist on "going there" I assume you are carrying pepper spray just in case.:)

I think Boehr has answered this question before and it boils down to whether they are a pest to your home or not. If the answer is yes, then it is legal to trap them to eliminate the problem.
