Lapeer,Imlay City Gills and Perch

Can anyone tell me if there are any small lakes around Lapeer or Imlay city that would be good to take my kids to and catch some gills or perch. Already fished in lapeer state game area and got alot of small gills. I'm willing to drive a ways. All I have is a 15 foot canoe with out riggers so a can't handle the big water.

I fish lake nepessing. Good gills and perch.
During the spring. Call dons sport shop in sebewaing. you can peir fish in sebewaing. Get some HUGE jumbo perch. I'll show you a sweet hole on a map and you dont even need a boat.
but for now, I am fishing lake buell. Getting good sized bluegills and the lake is no wake. so it is perfect for your canoe..... Josh
