if its the skegemog by grand traverse there is no walleye but throwing buck tails seems to work for pike

There are walleye's in skegemog. I caught one accidently on a white tube jig while fishing smallies. We did spot one other one while bird dogging the wood. Other than that It was a accidental catch and release.

Its been five or six years sinced I've fished it.When i did, i fished the opposite end of where the torch river comes in,the smallies were incredible!!.There used to be a gentleman with the last name of Boggs a road is named after him on the west side of the lake (Boggs landing)we use to rent a boat out of there. He would give us tips on the musky and smallmouth fishing there.Directly across from his place we fished the stumps, wow :yikes: incredible bass and pike area!!!!.Never forget when we first pulled into that place to get a boat he had a huge musky head hanging on a gaff from a tree. The head was bigger than a lot of the fish I used to catch.Just purchased a little boat, that lake is on of my first stops up north with the youngster.
