Caught a slew of nice large and smallmouth bass at Rice Lake, Ontario the second week of July. If you'd like to know how.....just ask.

Yes I have done very well. Went to Cananda in May and loaded up on Smallies. Probably landed over 50 a day. With 20-25 of them over 3-3.5 lbs and some in the 5lb class. Then I have been killing the big smallies on a secret spot on one of the lesser known Great Lakes. Not a boat within 5 miles of me. Just the way I like it. And I have been getting some nice largemouths from the inland waters. Broke off a real hog at Orion in a tourney that hurt. But it has been a great year so far.

My friend Al and I have been doing real good this year ( check gallery )
The one that says picture 4 was 6 lbs.
some nights we catch 15-20 or so. Mostly smaller ones the past few weeks
(hot!!). Mostly pull them out of the green slop on GULP worms but latley a big yellow bucktail prop spinner has been my go to.

I was fishing in my grandmas pond the other day and pulled a 22.5 inch bass out of it. I got some pictures on the digital camera i just got to get them loaded up. Anyone have a guesstimate what a 22.5in largemouth would run weight wise? Caught it on another 10 inch bass

Its been a very good Bass season so far for us.I personally have boated over 150 Bass over 14" biggest was 4lbs1oz. I have fished lakes in Barry county and osecola and both areas produced nice chunky fish. Even the 90 deg days didn't slow the fishing (actually it was better fishing). Iam going to try a couple of new lakes this week.
I am curious to see how much the water temps have droppped since this cold front moved through.

I pulled in a few nice fish yesterday morning. The biggest prolly going 3.5 (smallie). Most fish that I have caught this year have been on the small side. Pretty much using 4'' yamamoto's. I have got a few bigger fish with these but for every 20 bass I get with these there is maybe one good sized fish. So yesterday I bought some 5'' yamamoto's. We'll see what happens. I got the bigger fish with Pop-R. First time using topwater all year. It produced that is for sure. Not as many but quality was better. I have never seen so many bass jumping out of the water yesterday morning, it was insane. Big fish to, prolly some of them pushing 5lbs. They just never seem to do it on my lure. But being 200 yards away and seeing fish this size was pretty cool. At least I still know they are in there.

Got a 19" appx 4 LB on opening day. Wed night best was 16-1/2 2 LBs. Had a hog on a hula popper that broke the 8 LB line. (Probably was frayed line, and I probably should not have laid the hammer quite has hard as I did) The thing jumped after it broke off trying to get the popper out of its mouth. (THE PAIN)
