I guess by buddy watched MUCC last week and only caught part of a segment. He wanted to know how its used and whats it called. Sounded like a spoon with the treble off and used as a dodger in front of a crawler harness. Any clues?

Mike, I use them every time I fish Erie but I rig 3 different ways and I always use Mag Streaks as the attractor. But I try to stay away from the chrome stuff because I believe that it makes the bait look larger that it really is with all of the flash. Darker baits can hide their size better but still provide the desired action I am looking for. As far as just a harness, I stay away from anything bigger than a #4 blade because it seems to create a little drag on the spoon and it will lose its waggle. I also run leaders off of the back that have just a crawler or floats to give it some color. The float only program has worked out to be the best for me with the blade coming in close behind. The crawler only program has its days at best. Before I forget, I have only run them off of riggers and never tried it on a bb. My .02 bud.
