A friend who lives in Colorado, and lets me go out there an Elk hunt every year, decided it was time to take a trip to Michigan. So figured while he was here get him to do some fishing on one of our fine Great Lakes. So with some help from this site, I decided to charter a boat on Lake Erie for Walleye. based on some members recommendation I choose Capt. Jay.
Just wanted to let other members know Jay is a top notch guy, and guide. We had a great time (except the guy from Colorado wasn't really use to great lakes waves, and lets just say breakfast became chum) :yikes:
the fishing was good, caught 7 keeper walleye, and lots of smalleyes, that got thrown back, and had a great time.
Thanks again Jay.

I had a great time with these guys out there today. It's nice to have guys in the boat that you can relax and joke around with. Makes the day alot more fun!!

We started out in about 22' of water from Sterling and ran spoons and harnesses. Couldn't get any thing going except the smalleye's, so at 10:30 we headed in to 18-19' feet and started running Double Downers and deep little rippers. Color didn't really seem to matter. 100' - 120' behind the board did the trick today. I just wish we started at this spot as the bigger fish were definitely there.

I'll be out in the same spot Wednesday morning. If anyone else is heading out, give me a shout on 68.

Funny haven't heard from him since Art must have asked to many dumb questions. hope Capt Jay got over that head shaking thing
