I'm looking for some good line counter reels that arent too expensive, yet reliable and durable. We have a couple of accudepth lc's but we aren't too happy with them (drag slips, hard to get the freespool just right and would like something a little better). What do you guys recommend. We will be going to Bass pro shops this weekend and looking for some. Thanks

I have had Diawa's for years, caught salmon, steelies and walleye with them and never had a problem.

We have an accudepth, an okuma madgda and cabelas depthmasters. The accudepth is the worst of the 3. They are all priced in the $40-$50 range (I think). The okumas and depthmasters are similar in performance, work good for us, we mainly fish walleye, pike, and the occasionaly salmonids. Have yet to test them on a 20# king.
Daiwa Sealines are good reliable reels.
They don't fit the "arent too expensive" criteria, but I am in love with my Shimano Tekotas, and I can tell they are going to last years and years.

The Okuma Convectors and the Okuma SD series reels are good reels.
If I had to rate them:
1) Shimano Tekotas
2) Daiwa Sealines
3) Okuma Convectors
4) Okuma SD Series
5) Okuma Magna Pro / Diawa Accudepths
6) Cabelas Depthmasters
This is also about how they are priced from most to least.
