Dear Trappers,

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Cindy Seff, and I am the new Fundraiser Chairman for FurBearers Unlimited. FurBearers Unlimited is the 501-C3 sister organization of the National Trappers Association.

My first job is to coordinate states to raise money for individual State Trapping Organizations and National Organizations through State Trappers Fundraiser Banquets.

My second job is to coordinate the annual fundraisers held at the National Trappers Convention each year. Those consist of a new general raffle and a silent auction that will be held at the fairgrounds.

Last the third job will be to coordinate the raffle, silent and live auction that is held at the Awards Banquet each year.

I would like to thank you for your continued dedication and support you have shown to FurBearers Unlimited and the National Trappers Association in the past and in the future.

I am writing you this letter to ask for your help. In order to hold the events that we have annually at the convention we need to count on your support and commitment. The items used for the auctions and raffles come from donations from individual trappers, trapping and hunting supply dealers, furriers, tanners, State Organizations, etc. such as you.

We are asking for your support to make these fundraisers successful. We need anything that you can donate. We need fine items for this raffle also as well as for the auctions. We will also accept cash to purchase items that are required. All items donated including cash are tax deductible. We will supply you with a 501C-3-tax deduction form for your donation. Recognition will be given to yourself and or your business wherever possible.

Because of your on going commitment to the National Organizations we have successfully been able to represent trappers. The important thing is that trappers need to be represented on a National level. Your support is what allows us to financially do just that.

Please do whatever you can to help us be successful in these fundraisers. These above items that have I have explained to you will be some of our major fundraisers for the year. We are counting on your support now more than ever. We ask as you make a donation, either an item or cash, please be as generous as you can. I thank you in advance for your commitment to FBU and NTA and your dedication in the success of these programs.

Sincerely,

Cindy Seff, FBU Fundraising Chairman

Cindy-

Nice letter. However I for one would have liked to have seen a level of interest and participation in this forum before you asked us for money. I have no problem with somebody drumming up money for their causes...but to do so on your 1st (and I am sure only) post just gets you labeled as a spammer. Additionally, I would prefer any of my club or association memberships to remain fairly local, I dont see my Michigan hard earned buck coming back to me after I send it to you in AZ.

Michigan Sportsman,
I would like for you to have seen a post by me in regards to other issues. But I just have not had the time. There are many forums that I would like to participate in. But I usually only get to drop by read and leave and that is on occassion only.
Although I did enjoy checking the site out.
The money does not come back to me in Arizona. It goes to FBU and NTA to help Trapper's and Hunters all across the country. Because Trapping is an issue hunters are also concerned with as trapping is just a step on the ladder on the anti hunters agenda. Which includes Michigan if an issue ever arises that they need assistance.
I choose this site as one to post the letter on for the simple fact I believed that Michigan Trappers and Hunters are concerned sportsmen who understand and will help the cause. And would like to see this program succeed for FBU and NTA. Michigan has been one of the most contributing State's for years to the NTA. And has always been there as far as I can remember.
So I thank you again in advance for your support and ask that you too do what you can to help us.
Sincerly, Cindy Seff

Trout,
Thanks for the support. You can join the NTA by sending in your dues to NTA P.O.Box 550, New Martinsville, WV 26155 to print application or for more information you can visit our website at : http://www.nationaltrappers.com from there you can link on to FBU also for more information.
FBU has no membership just sponsor information. FBU is the NTA sister 501C-3 Organization. Any donations for the raffle or auctions for convention for next year in Ohio can be mailed to my above address in Seligman. We can use donations of any kind either an item or cash and they are all tax deductible. Cash donations will be used for the purchase of items for the raffle or auction.
I hope to see you next year at the convention in Ohio and that goes for everyone. I will be either in the NTA booth or the Arizona Trappers booth. I love to meet new friends. I look forward to the convention every year it is like a huge family reunion.
And I would like to add that Michigan Trappers are a great bunch of people. I have many friends from Michigan Trappers Association and they are a great group. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you some day. Hopefully Michigan will be a sponsor of the FBU / NTA banquet also in the near future. I predict the NTA will be in Michigan sometime in the near future for our annual convention.
Thanks for the Support!
